Description
Selim Hassan on behalf of the Egyptian University excavated the zone of the sphinx and its surroundings. They Discovered eight tombs. The archive contains the manuscripts of five tombs: Akhre, tomb no.9, tomb no.10, tomb no.11, tomb no.12. Selim Hassan dedicates the excavation of Giza Season 1936-1937 to his professor Hermann Junker. Excavation team: Abdel Mohsin Bakir, the Asst.-Professor of Egyptology at the University of Alexandria collaborating in undertaking the excavations in the Sphinx area. Fawzi Ibrahim, the Architect of the Antiquities Department, for drawing the plans of the Sphinx.
